Australian Conservation Foundation have lost their Federal Court appeal of the approval of the Adani Carmichael coal mine in the Queensland Galilee Basin. The case was a test whether Environment Minister Hunt had taken into account the impact of emissions from coal from the mine on climate change and the Great Barrier Reef and Australia’s international climate change commitments under the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement.
